Daily Scripture
“Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Now listen: You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.”
Luke 1:30-32
devotion
The angel’s announcement to Mary highlights the astonishing truth of Christmas: Jesus is the King who reigns eternally. Despite her humble status, Mary is chosen to be part of God’s redemptive plan. Similarly, in the midst of our busyness and distractions, we are invited to pause and reflect on the true reason for this season. Jesus is not just a historical figure but the Savior who transforms lives when we make room for Him in our hearts.
What distractions might be pulling your focus away from the true meaning of Christmas?
“We would do ourselves a great disservice if we got through an entire Christmas season and did not focus on the true reality that is ushered in by knowing that Jesus is Born and how that changes everything about our lives.” - Pastor Luke
