God is Never Late

Daily Scripture

“The Lord does not delay his promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.”

2 Peter 3:9

devotion

We often struggle with God's timing, especially when it feels like He’s taking too long to fulfill His promises. In Exodus, we see that God's plan for Israel's freedom didn’t happen according to their timeline, but He was working behind the scenes. 2 Peter reminds us that God's timing is perfect. He is patient, not slow, and His delays are often because He is giving more time for repentance, healing, and preparation. Trusting in God’s timing means understanding that His way is always the best way, even if we don’t fully understand it in the moment.

When you feel like God's promises are delayed, how can you remind yourself that His timing is perfect and that He is always working for your good?
