God's Active Justice

Daily Scripture

"Therefore tell the Israelites: I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from the forced labor of the Egyptians and rescue you from slavery to them. I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and great acts of judgment."

Exodus 6:6-8

devotion

In the midst of oppression, God promises to act on behalf of His people. His justice is not passive; it is active and intentional. God’s people are not simply released from slavery, but they are called into a new life, with Him as their God. This passage reminds us that God's justice is not just about punishing wrongdoers but also about bringing people into a life of freedom and belonging. We can trust that He will intervene in our lives, rescuing us and redeeming us when we call out to Him.

How can you trust God’s justice in the areas of your life where you feel oppressed or helpless?
