Hope is Built on God's Character

Daily Scripture

"Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son."

Genesis 18:14

devotion

Hope is not just about wishful thinking; it is about relying on God’s unchanging character. Sarah’s doubt in the face of impossible circumstances mirrors our own struggle when hope seems unrealistic. But God’s question to Sarah, "Is anything too hard for the Lord?" invites us to see that hope is rooted in the power and trustworthiness of God, not the limitations of our circumstances. Even when everything seems against us, we can hope because God’s promises are certain.

In what areas of your life are you struggling to hold onto hope because of difficult circumstances? How can you shift your focus from the situation to God’s ability to fulfill His promises?
