Daily Scripture
“For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, 'This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.' In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.' For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”
1 Corinthians 11:23-26
devotion
Communion calls us to self-examination. It is a time to reflect on our lives, confess our sins, and align ourselves with Jesus' teachings. This practice helps us to grow in our faith and become more like Christ. As we examine our hearts, we are reminded of the importance of humility, forgiveness, and obedience in our walk with God.
What areas of your life need realignment with Jesus' teachings, and how can you take steps to address them?
Prayer: Father, help me to examine my heart and confess my sins. Guide me to align my life with Your teachings and grow in my faith. Amen.
