In this verse, he’s writing to 12 tribes scattered abroad. I see God saying that it’s too much of what I want rather than asking God for his will and way. Conflicting desires with others will be the result. Most importantly, we will lose influence with those who desperately need to hear that God so loved them that He gave His only Son (John 3:16).
