The Call to Follow

Daily Scripture

"I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob."

Exodus 3:6

devotion

In Exodus 3:6, God reveals His identity to Moses, saying He is the God of Moses' ancestors. This moment seals Moses' identity in God, and from that point on, Moses is no longer defined by his Egyptian upbringing but by his relationship with the God of Israel. Likewise, when we accept Jesus, our identity is reshaped by our relationship with Him, and we are called to live according to that new identity. God calls us to step into His plans for our lives, even when it means stepping away from what is familiar or comfortable.

How can you remind yourself daily that your identity is rooted in Christ and not in the world’s standards?
