Daily Scripture

"She gave birth to a son whom he named Gershom, for he said, 'I have been a resident alien in a foreign land.'"

Exodus 2:22

Moses' journey to Midian was not just a physical journey but a spiritual one. He went from being a prince of Egypt to a shepherd in a foreign land, feeling like an outsider. His name, "Gershom," reflected this sense of displacement. Just as Moses felt like a foreigner in a strange land, we too may feel like strangers in a world that does not understand our new identity in Christ. But, as Moses discovered, God's purposes are at work even in these seasons of uncertainty.

How can embracing the discomfort of being a “foreigner” in this world help you step into the identity God has for you?
